LIGHT MODULATION

Light Modulation is a patented* process for the control of light, exclusive to SENSORTECH. It involves delicate light pulsations generated by sophisticated algorithms which introduce subtle, continuous variations of colour, capable of responding to specific needs. Their frequency interacts with our physiological rhythms - notably with those of brain waves, the heartbeat and the function of breathing. The light emitted in this way from the Sensora or the SensoSphere brings numerous therapeutic benefits.

Cerebral entrainment

This process uses an advanced version of the technique known as audiovisual entrainment (AVE) which consists in entraining the brain’s activity to shift toward frequencies corresponding to desired mental states in the treatment of troubles of a psychic and psychological nature.

Brain waves

The human brain generates weak electrical signals which can be picked up by an electroencephalogram (EEG). The waves cover a range of frequencies (broadly 1 to 40Hz) associated with different mental functions. For example, fine light pulsations in the spectrum of Alpha brain waves (8 to 12 Hz) bring a sense of ease and relaxation, conducive to a profound let-go.

Colour

The modulations of light intensity and colour created by a network of low-frequency oscillators (LFOs) create shimmering luminous ​patterns in constant transformation, evoking a very pure light, like that which we perceive sometimes in dreams. The light captivates by its great beauty, at the same time having a beneficial effect on the body.
In standard AVE, cerebral entrainment is performed using a single low-frequency oscillator. The Sensora's Light Modulation processor uses up to 12 oscillators for each light source, allowing the creation of much more refined and complex light patterns.

Brain Laterality
​The Sensora's multi-zone projection system can control separately the light patterns presented to the left and right visual fields, allowing a differentiated influence over each of the two brain hemispheres linked to them.This enables the implementation of sophisticated light therapy modalities, such as those based on Lateral Light Therapy.
