Sensortech Inc. ("Sensortech", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit www.sensora.com or use the SensoLight or SensoSphere mobile applications. SensoLight and SensoSphere are mobile applications for controlling SensoLight and SensoSphere lighting devices wirelessly. 1. Information collected by the SensoLight and SensoSphere apps SensoLight and SensoSphere do not require you to create an account and do not collect personal information through the applications. The applications communicate directly with your SensoLight or SensoSphere devices using a wireless link, which reads device identifiers (device ID/UUID) solely to establish and maintain a connection with your device. This communication is local between your mobile device and the SensoLight / SensoSphere devices. Sensortech does not receive this wireless communication and does not operate a cloud service through which SensoLight / SensoSphere user information is transmitted or stored. In-app purchases If you make an in-app purchase in the SensoLight application, the transaction is processed entirely by the applicable app store payment system:
For Google Play purchases, we receive only the information necessary to confirm that a purchase was completed and to allow the application to unlock the corresponding content, such as a product identifier and purchase token. For Apple purchases, Apple provides the application with the information necessary to verify the purchase and unlock the corresponding content. Sensortech does not receive or store your payment card number or other complete payment credentials. Google and Apple may independently collect and process diagnostic, operational, transaction and other information as part of providing their respective payment and app-store services, in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. This data handling by Google and Apple is separate from data collected directly by the SensoLight application. User manual The Apps' Help section displays a user manual (PDF) hosted on Google Drive, shown within the Apps using an embedded web view. Viewing this file causes your device to make a standard network request to Google's servers to retrieve the document. No personal information is intentionally sent by the SensoLight or SensoSphere applications as part of this request, and Sensortech does not log or retain any information about this access. Use of this feature is subject to Google's own privacy practices for content delivered via Google Drive. 2. Information collected by the website The Sensora website is primarily an informational website. Sensortech does not intentionally collect personal information from visitors simply because they visit the website. We do not maintain a user account system or a personal-information database for website visitors. The website may, however, involve the collection or processing of limited technical information by the website-hosting provider, Weebly, as necessary to operate, maintain and secure the website. Such information may include technical information associated with a web request, such as IP address, browser type or device information. Sensortech does not use this information to create personal profiles or for advertising purposes. 3. Cookies Sensora.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies for the purpose of building user profiles or tracking visitors across websites. The website may use cookies or similar technical mechanisms that are necessary for the operation, security or functionality of the website or that are provided automatically by the website-hosting platform. You can control or disable cookies through your web browser. Disabling certain technical cookies may affect the operation of some website functions. 4. Information you voluntarily provide If you contact Sensortech by email, telephone or another communication method, we will receive the information that you choose to provide, such as your name, email address and the contents of your inquiry. We use this information only as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, provide customer support, or conduct the business activity for which you contacted us. We do not sell or rent this information. Online purchases If you purchase products through the Sensora website, payment is processed through third-party payment platforms, including PayPal and Square, depending on the product purchased. Sensortech does not receive or store your full payment card number, security code, or other complete payment credentials. These payment details are handled directly by the applicable payment provider. In order to process and fulfill your purchase, Sensortech may receive information necessary to complete the transaction, such as your name, email address, shipping address, billing information, the products purchased, the transaction amount, and confirmation of payment. This information is used only as necessary to process and fulfill your order, provide customer service, maintain appropriate business records, prevent fraud, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations. PayPal and Square may independently collect, process, retain and use information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. Sensortech does not control information that these payment providers process independently. For more information, please consult the applicable privacy policies of PayPal and Square. 5. Third-party services and website hosting The Sensora website is hosted using Weebly. Weebly may process technical information associated with visitors to the website as part of providing its hosting and website services. Sensortech does not control information that Weebly or other third-party services may process independently. Such providers are subject to their own privacy policies and terms. The website may also contain links to third-party websites. Once you leave the Sensora website, the privacy practices of the third-party website apply. 6. Data security Sensortech takes reasonable measures to protect information that it receives against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. SensoLight and SensoSphere devices are designed to operate locally and do not transmit user information to Sensortech servers. In-app purchase transactions in the SensoLight application are processed through Google Play Billing or Apple's App Store / In-App Purchase system, as applicable. Payment information is handled by the respective payment provider rather than by Sensortech. Because no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, no security measure can provide an absolute guarantee of security. 7. Data retention Sensortech does not maintain a user account database or a database of personal information collected through the SensoLight and SensoSphere applications. Consequently, there is no SensoLight / SensoSphere user personal data routinely retained by Sensortech. Information voluntarily provided to Sensortech, including information associated with an online purchase or an email inquiry, is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to process and fulfill the transaction, respond to the inquiry, provide customer service, maintain appropriate business records, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations. Technical information that may be processed by our website-hosting provider is retained according to the provider's applicable policies and retention practices. Information relating to payments and purchases that is held directly by Google, Apple, PayPal or Square is subject to the respective provider's privacy policies and retention practices. 8. Data deletion Because SensoLight and SensoSphere do not create user accounts and Sensortech does not maintain a database of SensoLight / SensoSphere user personal information, there is normally no SensoLight or SensoSphere user account or application database that needs to be deleted. If you have voluntarily provided personal information to Sensortech, including information associated with an online purchase or customer-service inquiry, you may request that we delete that information by contacting us at: [email protected] We will delete personal information that we control when reasonably requested, unless we are required or permitted to retain it for legitimate business, legal, security, tax, accounting or regulatory purposes. Information stored locally on your mobile device by the SensoLight and SensoSphere applications can be removed by deleting the application or by using the applicable data-management functions provided by your mobile operating system. Information stored locally in a SensoLight or SensoSphere device, such as the optional device password, can be removed or reset using the device's applicable reset procedure. For SensoLight in-app purchase-related data held by Google or Apple, you can manage your purchases and applicable account information through your Google Play or Apple account, respectively. Requests concerning information held directly by Google or Apple may need to be made to the applicable provider. Information relating to website purchases that is held directly by PayPal or Square is subject to their respective privacy policies and deletion procedures. Requests concerning information held directly by those providers may need to be made to the applicable provider. 9. Children's privacy SensoLight and SensoSphere are not specifically directed toward children and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the applications do not require an account and do not collect personal information, their normal operation does not involve the collection of children's personal information by Sensortech. 10. Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements or privacy practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. 11.
